Downtown Mobile Access-Raleigh:
A new way to find a restaurant or club

The Downtown Raleigh Alliance and Logivox Software, Inc. today announced the launch of Downtown Mobile Access-Raleigh, a free service available to anyone with a mobile telephone with WAP (wireless application protocol) capabilities. This unique service lets users locate downtown Raleigh establishments, such as restaurants and clubs, from a mobile telephone.

Downtown Mobile Access-Raleigh utilizes the Logivox Software, Inc. developed system to help mobile telephone users locate a category of or particular downtown Raleigh establishments based on search criteria shown directly on their telephone screens. The Downtown Mobile Access-Raleigh service provides detailed information based on the user's criteria, including hours, location, contact information, and can even call up the chosen establishment directly.

In the next 5 years, the number of people accessing the internet from a mobile device, such as a mobile phone, will overtake those using a PC, according to some studies. The Downtown Mobile Access-Raleigh service is on the cusp of consumer services that links mobile telephone and wireless web enabled device users with detailed and localized information. "Providing instant mobile access to our database of
downtown establishments creates just one more way for people to discover downtown Raleigh," said Errol Frailey, President of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. "The Logivox engineering team and technologies made the project a snap to move from concept to full scale launch."

Mobile phone users with WAP capabilities can access this free service by connecting to the mobile.logivox.com site from any wireless web enabled device. Further use instructions are provided at the traditional Logivox web site, www.logivox.com/raleigh.

This service is brought to consumers free of charge through a partnership between the Downtown Raleigh Alliance and Logivox Software, Inc. The Downtown Raleigh Alliance provides services to downtown business and property owners including marketing to raise awareness of downtown business establishments. Logivox Software, Inc., a software development company based in downtown Raleigh, is a developer of mobile and traditional software systems, including internet-based wireless applications.
